Data Deletion & Offboarding

This page describes what happens to your applications, data, and account when you cancel your Quant subscription or request account closure. These procedures apply to all Quant platform services including QuantCDN, Quant Cloud Applications, and the Customer Portal.

When you delete a Cloud Application or environment through the Quant portal or API, the following resources are permanently removed:

  • All application containers and task definitions
  • Container image repositories and stored images
  • Databases and associated storage volumes
  • Filesystem volumes and mount points
  • Application secrets and configuration parameters
  • Load balancer rules and target groups
  • Scheduled tasks and cron jobs
  • CloudWatch log groups and monitoring configuration
  • All associated DNS and routing configuration

Resource deletion is processed immediately on request. Some resources (such as filesystem volumes) may take a short time to fully deprovision after the initial deletion request is accepted.

When your subscription is cancelled or your account is closed:

  • Your account and all associated user accounts are deactivated immediately
  • All hosted applications and environments are suspended
  • Your data enters a 30-day retention window during which it can be recovered on request

After 30 days, all account data — including project configuration, user accounts, media assets, and application data — is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

Financial and billing records are retained for 7 years in accordance with Australian taxation law.

If you would like a copy of your data before your account is closed, raise a support ticket and our team will provide a secure export. Please allow up to 5 business days for export requests to be fulfilled.

Data exports are delivered via a secure, time-limited download link.

To initiate account closure and ensure all data is handled correctly, raise a support ticket with the subject Account Closure Request. Include:

  • The email address associated with your account
  • Your organisation name
  • Whether you require a data export before closure

Our team will confirm the closure timeline and coordinate any data export before permanent deletion proceeds.
