Managing your search index

After enabling AI Search, you can view, search, and manage the pages in your search index directly from the dashboard. The index contains all the content that powers your AI Search results and chat answers.

Navigate to Search in the dashboard and select the Index tab. This displays all indexed pages with pagination, showing the URL and indexing date for each entry.

Use the search filter at the top of the index view to find specific pages. Enter a full or partial URL to filter the list of indexed pages. This is useful for verifying that a particular page has been indexed or for locating pages you want to remove.

Remove individual pages from the index by selecting them and clicking Delete. You can also use URL patterns to delete multiple pages at once — for example, removing all pages under a specific path.

This is useful when:

  • A page has been removed from your site but remains in the index
  • You want to exclude certain content from search results
  • You need to clean up test or draft pages that were accidentally indexed

To clear the entire search index, use the Purge action. This removes all indexed content from your project.

To update your search index with new or changed content, run the crawler again. New and updated pages will be indexed automatically during the crawl.

There is no need to purge the index before re-indexing. The crawler updates existing entries and adds new ones as pages are discovered.
